Thankful Thursday – 06/07

This week, I’m thankful for:

  • my son and daughter
  • spending a lazy, rainy weekend with my kids last weekend
  • my personal Facebook community – they helped me win a weighted blanket for my son (more details and pictures to follow)!
  • being able to attend my daughter‘s school trip to an organic farm

Thankful Thursday – 05/10

This week has been a tough week with my son and I being sick but there are still many things to be thankful for:

  • my son and daughter
  • the fun-filled weekend we had with wonderful friends
  • getting together with childhood friends, one of whom I haven’t seen in at least 15 years
  • being part of a moms group
  • my son and I being on the mend with our colds

Thankful Thursday – 05/04

This week, I’m thankful for:

  • my son and daughter
  • my son’s IBI service provider – he’s doing awesome!
  • my daughter and I have a tea party tonight
  • having the opportunity to find some inner strength I didn’t know was in me
  • getting my divorce present for myself

Thankful Thursday – 04/19

This week, I’m thankful for:

  • my son and daughter
  • not having a week full of appointments so I could nurse the headcold I had ;)
  • the relationship my kids are able to continue to develop with their older sister, despite their father and I splitting (same father, different mothers)
  • being able to chaperone my daughter’s class trip to the local library today

Thankful Thursday – 04/12

For the last two weeks, I’m thankful for:

  • my son and daughter
  • being able to publicly share our story of how Autism has affected our little family – thank you The Grand 92.9FM!
  • having some great groups of girlfriends
  • my daughter’s school fundraiser went awesome (I was co-chair so I had a higher interest in its success!)
  • the problems with my “sexy minivan” will (hopefully) be finished…for now :)
  • my man’s cooking ability…yum!!

Thankful Thursday -03/22

I missed last week’s Thankful Thursday so, in the last 2 weeks, I’m thankful for:

  • my son and daughter
  • March Break
  • the amazing weather we had throughout March Break and since then
  • having some one-on-one time with each of my kids during March Break
  • being back to our regular routine after March Break
  • my man
  • my girlfriends

Thankful Thursday – 02/09

This week, I’m thankful for:

  • My son and daughter
  • My friend’s little 5 month old will be able to come home from the hospital, and the support they are receiving from all their friends and family
  • The resources available to me to help me through the rough times related to my son’s Autism
  • Having some R&R time this past weekend

 

Thankful Thursday – 01/26

This last week has been, and continues to be, a really hard week. Unfortunately, a dear friend of mine and her family are going through the hardest challenge a parent ever has to deal with, and one where no parent ever wants to be.  So, this week, I’m thankful for:

  • My son and daughter
  • Our health
  • My friend and her family being surrounded by friends and family who love and support them
  • Prayer
  • My son’s Autism team

Please give your kids extra hugs and kisses today, and every day.
