30 Days About Me: Day 12 – Things I’m Obsessive About

Day 12- Something you are obsessive about

Even before having kids and my son’s Autism diagnosis, I’ve always been very routine-based, but some things I’m obsessive about are:

  • Playdoh colours CANNOT be mixed
  • DVDs and videos HAVE to be alphabetized
  • If there’s a placemat on a table, the bottom of the cutlery HAS to be 1” from the bottom of the placemat
  • The volume (for the TV, mp3 player, etc) has to be at an EVEN number, or one that ends in a 5
  • The inside of my microwave has to ALWAYS be clean
  • Pictures can’t be crooked on the wall
  • Have to open bags or boxes of food at the top…do NOT open them at the bottom
  • When I attend a public event, I have to scan the event space for potential risks and all the exits before I can enjoy myself – a “hazard” of being a former event planner I guess
  • I cannot write with a black pen…it actually “hurts” me when I have to fill out official forms using black ink

What are you obsessive about?

2 Truths 1 Lie 8/4 ANSWER!

Just came across a Blog Hop at Randomosity called 2 Truths, 1 Lie, and I thought it was cute, so here I go!

_____________________

MY 2 TRUTHS AND 1 LIE:

1) I get a physical reaction to Playdoh colours being mixed together

2) I learnt how to horseback ride on a bale of hay

3) I am fluent in English, French and Spanish

So, which one is a lie?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry ladies, but #3 is the lie…well, a partial lie:
1) It actually “hurts” me when my son combines colours of Playdoh so, I always need to take some time between Playdoh purchases, until I’m “ready” to see it happen again.
2) One of my childhood friends taught me how to ride a horse by starting out on a bale of hay, showing me the right hand positions, leg holds, etc.
3) I am fluent in only English and French as I took French Immersion in school from Kindergarten through to university.  I also knew some words and sentences in a couple other languages and seem to be able to read even more, but the only two I’m fluent in are English and French.
Look forward to this Friday’s 2 Truths, 1 Lie!
You know the game you play as an “icebreaker” in a new class or maybe at a new job. Make a post, tellingtwo truths and one lie. Leave the link to that post here. Then your readers (and fellow blog hoppers) will guess which one is the lie.
Update the post within 24 hours to tell which is which (I’ll be honest and say that I have a Girl’s Night tonight, so it may not be 24 hours for me…just saying…)
Simple enough, right? Just LINK TO YOUR 2 TRUTHS 1 LIE POST!
Copy the code below to add it to your site (this is not required, just requested). This is a new hop, so it will need your help to grow. I appreciate it! Come back every Friday night to link up again! This means fun AND extra exposure for your blog.
