I’ve seen “ABCs of Me” on a few blogs so I thought I would fill it out with the prompts…after all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?

C – Chore you dislike: all of them, but I always procrastinate on putting away laundry.

I – Instruments you play(ed): Flute, piccolo and a bit of piano

J – Junk Food: Jalapeno Cheddar Doritos

K – Kids: Twins – one boy & one girl

L – Live: In Canada

M – Mom’s name: Starts with an A.

N – Nicknames: Red, Muggins, Muggs, Megs

O – Overnight hospital stays: Only to give birth to my twins

P – Pet peeves:  Weak handshakes

Q – Quote from a movie: Can’t think of one at the moment. One of my favourite quotes though is “A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world.  It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.” ~ Agatha Christie

R – Righty or lefty: Righty 

S – Siblings: One younger brother

T – Time you wake up: Whenever my kids jump on me in the morning…anywhere between 6am and 8am.  Will have to “regularize” it for back to school.

U – Underwear: None of your business… :p

V – Vegetables you don’t like: Mushrooms and peppers

W – What makes you run late: Sometimes Facebook & Twitter; Other times it’s telling my kids over and over and over again each step to get out the door. Ugh.

X – X-rays you’ve had:  Right arm, right thigh, right ankle…hmmm, I’m noticing a theme. Teeth as well.

Y – Yummy food you make: Pumpkin Loaf

Z – Zoo animal favorites: Lions, tigers and bears (oh my!)

1) I have a fear of failing.

MY 2 TRUTHS AND 1 LIE:

1) I golf left-handed – This is the truth.  I went mini-putt golfing once and was doing horribly. My (now ex-) husband suggested I switch to left-handed and I started doing awesome. Now, I just need to learn how to golf for real…

2) I bowl right-handed – This is the truth, which is weird because all other sports I’ve tried, I’ve been left-handed – I’m even left-foot dominant in soccer. So, it’s a bit strange that I bowl right-handed.

3) I’m left-handed – This is the lie. The only time in my life where I’ve had to write left-handed is when I broke my right arm, otherwise, I’m a righty.

Just came across a Blog Hop at Randomosity called 2 Truths, 1 Lie, and I thought it was cute, so here I go!

MY 2 TRUTHS AND 1 LIE:

1) I get a physical reaction to Playdoh colours being mixed together

2) I learnt how to horseback ride on a bale of hay

3) I am fluent in English, French and Spanish

So, which one is a lie?

Sorry ladies, but #3 is the lie…well, a partial lie:

1) It actually “hurts” me when my son combines colours of Playdoh so, I always need to take some time between Playdoh purchases, until I’m “ready” to see it happen again.

2) One of my childhood friends taught me how to ride a horse by starting out on a bale of hay, showing me the right hand positions, leg holds, etc.

3) I am fluent in only English and French as I took French Immersion in school from Kindergarten through to university.  I also knew some words and sentences in a couple other languages and seem to be able to read even more, but the only two I’m fluent in are English and French.

Introducing…

I’ve written a few different blogs over the past couple of years, very topic-specific. For the last year and a half, I have found myself as a SAHM to my beautiful 5 year old twins, boy/girl. Always knew that being a SAHM was the toughest job in the world, but I didn’t realize it was this tough! As with any job, there are good days and bad days, highs and lows. The great thing about twins though is that there may be double the mess but there’s also double the hugs and kisses…which are the greatest payment one can receive.

So, while I’m muddling my way through being chef (trust me, I use that term lightly!), laundromat, cleaner (another lightly used term), personal assistant, “doctor mom”, chauffeur, coach, social calendar manager, educational consultant, Autism advocate, and many other roles I’m discovering every single day, I thought I would share my madness with the world. So…hold on tight!

TWINS

There’s two to wash, there’s two to dry
