I’m a single mom of 7 year old boy/girl twins and stepmom to an 18 year old young lady. My son has Autism. My daughter has Anxiety Disorder. My stepdaughter has Asperger’s and Mysophonia. BUT all my kids are so much more than their respective diagnoses.
Working outside the home worked for a while but my son’s Autism diagnosis and the breakdown of my marriage changed that. Between school drop off and pick ups, trying to work with the school system for my son’s needs, IBI therapy, and never getting enough sleep, I’m honestly just trying to get through the day.
I’m addicted to chai, and try to get to a yoga when my schedule allows. The kids and I moved from Big City, Ontario to the family hobby farm in Small Town Ontario, Canada in 2011, and moved back to Big City, Ontario in Fall 2012.
I write for various websites, and am available within Southern Ontario for presentations about special needs, balancing life as a single parent with twins, and Autism-specific topics.
